If you've been watching international news lately then you know what's the reason for the cancellation of the thousands of flights all over Europe. Eyjafjallajökull which is Icelandic for "island-mountain glacier" is one of the smaller glaciers of Iceland, situated to the north of Skógar and to the west of Mýrdalsjökull. The icecap of the glacier covers a volcano which just recently erupted.
