The guinea pig is a herbivore belonging to the Caviidae family of the Rodentia order, that is originated mainly in South America. They measure roughly 20 to 40 cm in length. They are characterized by their round body that resembles a piglet, their small round ears, and their large front teeth, and they do not have a tail. They excel at digging holes, and live in groups in burrows.
