The Virgin Galactic Scaled Composites Model 348 White Knight Two (WK2) is a jet-powered cargo aircraft which will be used to launch the SpaceShipTwo spacecraft (middle). The spacecraft will take paying passengers ($200,000 per person with a $20,000 deposit) to the Earth’s atmosphere at 70,000 feet (21,000 m), which will make it a sub-orbital journey with a short period of weightlessness of about 6 minutes.
